So I just saw this Web Page for the first time!
It's pretty nice & I thank Hideki for being such a good WebMaster!
But I saw that my last message needed an up-date, so here it is:
This summer I had a lot of fun producing & arranging an album for Hirth Martinez.
It was recorded live: 4 horns & rhythm section.
Garth Hudson is on the album, as are Randy Brecker, David Sanborn, Ron Carter,Will Lee, Cornelius Bumpus & a lot of other great players.
I'm very happy with it. It was released in Japan in November.
It's called "I'm Not Like I Was Before".
I really enjoyed my quick trip to Osaka last Spring with Garth Hudson,
when Motoharu Sano asked us to be special guests for his live show there.
Moto & I co-write a song on my latest Pioneer album, "Home".
I'm very grateful to him for taking time to send me such a wonderful song-concept.
What am I doing now?
I'm working on some songs with the singer, Phillip Hamilton.
Our album will probably be recorded & released in 1999.
And I'm working on a musical / theatrical project too.
I would like to ask for some help from those of you in Japan:
I am goring to release a "greatest hits" compilation of the favorite songs from my 3 Pioneer releases.
They are:
- Out On The Street
- Harmony Farm
- Home
