I just visited your web site. What a pleasant surprise. You seem like youare as a much a Band fanatic as me.
The best musical experience I have ever had was a Band concert on January17, 1970 at Massey Hall in Toronto.
If you have heard of anyone who has a tape of it, I would be greatful if you would let me know. It seems asthough you have some bootlegs from the same era. I would also appreciateit if you could let me know if it is possible to get copies of any of the bootlegs you have.
I look forward to hearing from you.

HI ! I recently accessed the Bobby Charles webpage-very nice stuff, and Iam glad others like him enough to do this-thanks!:--
I thought I had all his records-but was surprised to see the "Clean water" cd out of Japan.
P.s. Did Chess not put out an lp of Bobby's singles as a compilation in the eighties?

Hi: I understand that you are the master of the tape collection.
I was hopingtht you can help me. I am interested in getting the best Dylan/Band boots.Very hard to find people tht will trade.
I have a very large Springsteen collection, but most people in the Dylan?band groups are not interested.
I would be happy doing blank trading but so far turned up no one.
Are you interested or can you suggest someone? Thanks for your help. Great page BTW

Dear Hideki,
It is just great that you have a Bobby Charles webb page.
I am in touch with
him regulary.
I spoke with him to tell him about the cite. He just came in
from a studio in New Orleans.
We has a new record coming out. We will try
and contact you with his latest projects as well as locations where his disc
may be ordered.
There is a school project called "solution to pollution" which he has put
together with art work, sing along songs, a tape and a lesson plan.
If you
are interested let me know and I'll mail it to you. I'll need your address.

Hi,
It's great to see all this info on Bobby Charles on the WEB! Great
Site.
I have one question though, do you know where or how he can be
contacted.
I recently learned that he may be a cousin of mine.

Congratulations on creating a great site on the Band!
I have been a fan
for nearly thirty years. I am fortunate to have seen them play many
times over the years.
Until I read your site, I had no idea of the
amount of bootlegs that were around.
You really have an astounding
collection.
I was able to attend both Band shows at the Carter Barron
Ampitheater in Washington, DC USA in August of 1976.
If you know of ANY
WAY I could obtain a recording of these shows (I see them listed in
three different versions among your collection, but I'm quite sure they
are from the same concert), I would be eternally grateful if you would
write back.
As you probably know, these shows were on the tour that
ultimately led to The Last Waltz in November of that year. The Band
were absolutely incredible then; it would be more than a dream come true
to actually here the set that I was so lucky to witness 21 years ago!
Again, great site! Thanks!
Sincerely,

Bobby Charles, John Simon, Hungry Chuck
Woodstock

It was with much nostalgia that I found your site and the cover of an
album with which I was intimately acquainted.
In 1970 and 1971 I was
part of Rubber Dubber Records.
We worked out of L.A., but the records
were originally pressed in Grand Prarie, Texas at a place called The
Record Plant.
I was a hippie guitar playing muscian who needed a day
job and took a job at the plant, printing the labels for those records.
To make a long story short, the "suites" who ran the business saw a
golden opportunity in me--I could reach a market that they couldn't.
So
they sold the albums on the side, spotting me an inventory.
I made a
lot of money and never had to work in the shop again.
Then I met up
with the Rubber Dubber people while they were investigating who was
selling all their albums in the Midwest.
They invited me to join them.
I even helped them record a couple of albums.
I worked for them until
the U.S. Marshalls got is in the fall of '71.
At one time I had the
whole collection of Rubber Dubber albums, but over the years they seem
to have vanished.
I have no idea what happened to them. Now that I am
finally recording my own album (The Jerry Rigged Band), I have been
trying to find information on the Web about Rubber Dubber.
Thanks for
the trip into nostalgia.
I am now going to send this and show my
muscian son the album cover.
Thanks again!

Hi Hideki,
I'm enquiring about the Bobby Charles song in the subject line.
Are you familiar with it?
It is said to be from 1976 and supposedly Neil Young is
one of the accompanying musicians on it.
I would appreciate any information you could help me with.
Kind regards,
Bjorn Sandstrom

Any idea where I can get ahold of a tape or CDs of the Complete Last Waltz.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Dave
